River Past Video Slice

River Past Video Slice is an easy to use application that lets you split video files to get clips of your digital movies.

Supported input formats include 3GP, AVI, BMP, DivX, DV, GIF, FLC, JPG, MKV, MOV, MPG, MP4, RM, OGM, WMV, XivD, and video can be exported to 3GP, ASF, AVI, DAT, DivX, DV, DVD, EVOB, FLC, FLI, FLV, GIF, HDTV, IVF, MOV, QT, MKV, MP4, MPG, MPEG, OGM, PVA, RM, RAM, SVCD, VCD, VOB, WMV, XivD files (requires booster packs for some of this outputs).

This program has a nice and graphic user interface with a preview screen and a time line to help you place start and end points of the clip to obtain (trim video), and can split the video in two parts. You can also select format; configure video settings such as compressor, frame rate, bit rate; configure audio settings; quality, and output directory.

This program is a nice option for those who want to export certain parts of their videos, like for instance music videos, or their favorite scenes in a movie. It lacks some tools provided by other video splitters (like the ability to select amount of parts, or cut by size) but it works fine and lets you configure advanced settings.
